Our Story

Women in Planning (WIP) started in Sweden as a small group of women in the planning community who shared one powerful belief: our voices are stronger together. At a time when being the only woman in a meeting—or even an entire department—was the norm, these trailblazers came together to create change.

Founded in 2022 by Carolynn, Madeleine, and Loreen, WIP has grown into a thriving global organization supporting women across the planning industries, including finance, supply chain, data, tech, and beyond.

From hosting networking events and workshops to offering professional development, WIP is dedicated to advocating for women in planning. We’re here to create opportunities, foster connections, and ensure that women are leading the way in shaping the future of these industries.

Carolynn Kulecho

Carolynn Kulecho is an experienced Account Executive who thrives at the intersection of sales, marketing, and strategic planning.
She works closely with enterprise businesses to unlock the power of planning technologies - with various business planning platforms and drive meaningful growth.
Passionate about empowering women in the planning industry, Carolynn co-founded Women in Planning to create a supportive community where women can share experiences, learn, and thrive together.

Madeleine Simonsson

Madeleine Simonsson has built an impressive career from leading advanced analytics and financial performance management projects to senior customer success business partner responsible for the successful deployment, user adoption, and ongoing health of enterprise customers for various global organizations.
Her passion lies in helping companies translate complex data into actionable strategies, driving value, enhancing customer experience and outcomes.
As a co-founder of Women in Planning, Madeleine is dedicated to sharing her insights with women in finance, tech, and supply chain, championing opportunities for leadership and collaboration in the industry.
